Travel advice to Lethbridge:

The most convenient routing is to fly to Calgary (YYC). From Calgary, there are 4 or 5 flights per day to Lethbridge (YQL) on very small planes. Nervous fliers or people who have extra time might consider renting a car in Calgary and driving to Lethbridge (about 3 hours). Highway 22 ("the Cowboy Trail") is a particularly scenic route through the foothills.

A taxi from the Lethbridge airport to the student residences (Kainai House) should cost under $20.

NEW If you would like to coordinate a car rental with someone else, send an e-mail to wismath@cs.uleth.ca with your flight info and your e-mail address. I will create a rides page of car-less people.

Americans may find it more convenient to fly to Montana and then drive to Lethbridge.

Driving from Vancouver takes about 14 hours (1164 Km) but is a very pretty trip through the mountains.

The University of Lethbridge (uni. map) is on the west side of the Oldman River and is easily located -- consult a map of Lethbridge.

Check into the residences at Kainai House. The talks are in the LINC (library) building and the reception is in Anderson Hall. The Lethbridge Lodge hotel is just north of the corner of Scenic Dr. and Whoop-up Dr.
