Purging of Temporary Files

update 2004-DEC-13

Following is a list of files that are automatically deleted from the file system once they reach the indicated age in days.

U/S indicates whether these files are located in users's home directories or in some system directory.

PLEASE DO NOT CREATE FILES WITH THESE NAMES IN YOUR HOME DIRECTORY.

Avoid leading #, trailing % or ~ and the name "core". Also clean up your own files, instead of waiting for the system to do it for you.
