My project was to model the Calgary childrens hospital.

The original image i used is:




I started off with making the bottom of the building, basically, there are 2 types
of blocks - grey and teal(ish) as from the picture, including some other small primitives
for building shapes.
Once i had the basic structure of the bottom of the building somewhat done (ofc not 100% done)
I started the upper part of the building.

After the top part of the structure was complete, it was time to replicate
the design on it:

After that was to add some aesthetic components:

But this was too bland, I wanted to add some character to the image. There are a bunch of interesting
features for altering objects in povray, I tried to replicate a sun, and some kind
of misty clouds, and through some
trial and error, some of those features may have been somewhat implemented.
One of the larger areas of difficulty was trying to make the
shadows cast by the lightsources to produce meaningful
shadows on the building and surrouding objects
After a lot of trial and error, I think i found a pattern of shadow that
worked reasonably well in the picture.
