To start I used a primitive box, to make the base of the barn, then I added another rectangle, and used knife tool to form the roof. Then I added another flat rectangle, and used the solid drill tool to cut out a box shape in the sill, to give the windows a sunken look. The renderer I used was Lightwave 3d, the options I had were anti aliasing, ray trace shadows, and reflections turned on. To make the sky I used sky tracer with day time setting which created the zenith effect. For the water I used both a standard color texture, and a bump map to give a rippling effect.
