    Workshop Description:

Questions about classical L-functions continue to provide a rich source of research problems today. Of particular interest are global properties of these L-functions, such as moments, growth in the critical strip, and distribution of nontrivial zeros, as well as connections to classical problems in the theories of prime numbers and multiplicative functions. In addition, modern computational  tools allow for more explicit investigation of, and more robust experimentation on, some of these classical analytic results. This can often lead to results concerning explicit zero free regions, primes in arithmetic progressions, and correlations of zeros. We intend to explore these and related issues at a week-long workshop.
